Silver Antlers - Black Blood of the Earth

My Buddy Skyler's personal project (sorry this took so long) he just released. the album contains one monumental track of raise you to the heavens then smash into the ground and leave you in the middle of the desert ambient doom. Totally an enjoyable album in any condition you happen to be in.

Giant Squid - Metridium Field

i was very surprised i liked this on account of the vocals sounding like the guy from system of a down but, it must of been the sweet neurosis sounding guitar tone, heavenly dismal backup vocals and the awesome horn section spread throughout the album that eventually won me over.

In honor of yours truly getting this LP, here is a none comressed version of this album. Described as soulful doom from the Midwest. That seems to be a pretty accurate description to me and the killer solos help a bunch too!

A band I didn't get to see enough of, coming out of Salt Lake City, Utah.
I spent an entire summer listening to nothing but this. Throughout the album there are sound clips that the Utah Ghost Hunters Society recorded and it adds to the experience of this album. Check out their myspace and listen for yourself and download this.

OCEAN - Pantheon of the Lesser

Since this album just barely came out, I'm not going to put the link up for download. These dudes are not only an amazing but they are way awesome to talk to. My band got a chance to play with them a little over a year ago in Salt Lake City and they blew me away, I could watch them or listen to them for hours, and it's easy to because both of their albums come in at about an hour each with two tracks per album. So if you like very slow doom, i.e. Ahab, Mournful Congregation, White Horse...ect. you should probably buy this
