The Great Deceiver - Life Is Wasted On the Living
Wow, that is a perfect name for this band, let me tell you why.
1. Tomas Lindberg (At the Gates, Skitsystem, Disfear) is singing for them
2. They are from Sweden
3. This album is being released on Deathwish inc.
4. The artwork is done by Jacob Bannon!
Now, from hearing all this you'd think this would be an awesome band. Well you are so very wrong my stupid stupid friend. Who knew that nu metal ie. Limp Bizkit, Korn, Slipknot, Mudvayne, ect... was alive and well in Sweden. Lets just say that Life was wasted on this album.
Disappointment.
Silver Antlers - Black Blood of the Earth
My Buddy Skyler's personal project (sorry this took so long) he just released. the album contains one monumental track of raise you to the heavens then smash into the ground and leave you in the middle of the desert ambient doom. Totally an enjoyable album in any condition you happen to be in.
four out five stars

Giant Squid - Metridium Field
i was very surprised i liked this on account of the vocals sounding like the guy from system of a down but, it must of been the sweet neurosis sounding guitar tone, heavenly dismal backup vocals and the awesome horn section spread throughout the album that eventually won me over.

Samothrace - life's trade
In honor of yours truly getting this LP, here is a none comressed version of this album. Described as soulful doom from the Midwest. That seems to be a pretty accurate description to me and the killer solos help a bunch too!
Let There Be Doom
